  • Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer
    Chairman of Credit Committee
    Tsutomu Nakajima

    Mr. Nakajima is one of the co-founders of Nippon Wealth and has served as the Chief Executive Officer since the Company’s inception. He is also appointed as Directors of NWB Management Co. Ltd. and OJBC Co., Ltd. Mr. Nakajima is a seasoned banker with 40 years of experience in the financial industry. He served in various management and executive position in money centers such as Japan, the United States of America and Hong Kong. This included 18 years in a Japanese money center bank; 6 years in Goldman Sachs and 10 years in one of the largest internet financial institution. His career focus is mostly in investment banking and wealth management. Mr. Nakajima served as a TSE section 1 listed company’s board member for over 5 years, and was appointed as non-listed company board member for 7 different companies for more than 13 years. He is the Co-chairman of Century 21 Club and concurrently member of the Finance Committee of the Hong Kong Arts Centre since Jun 2018. He was also the Service Project Director for Rotary Club of Wanchai from 2017 to 2018. He received his Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Tokyo and attended MBA courses at the University of Boston.

    Kenichi Hasegawa

    Mr. Hasegawa is one of the co-founders of Nippon Wealth and has served as its Chief Investment Officer and led the wealth management business since the Company’s inception. He is also appointed as Directors of NWB Management Co., Ltd and AFGO Co., Ltd. He promulgating the original business plan of the Company and instrumental in obtaining an authorization to operate the Company as a Restricted Licence Bank from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority in April 2015. Mr. Hasegawa is responsible for Products and Business developments. He is a frequent speaker in investment forums, conferences and seminars. He also contributes to financial and investment columns and commentaries in public media. He has 30 years of international financial management experiences in Capital Market, Retail Banking and Private Banking. Prior to his current role in NWB, Mr. Hasegawa has worked for Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ in Hong Kong and Tokyo as well as Citibank, N.A. in Japan and New York. Mr. Hasegawa received his Bachelor of Arts in Civil Law from Kyoto University and a Master Degree of Business Administration from Kobe University.

    Fumio Matsushima

    Mr. Matsushima is one of the co-founders of Nippon Wealth and has served in various executive positions since the Company’s inception. He is also appointed as Directors of NWB Management Co. Ltd. Mr. Matsushima was instrumental in building the Company’s initial operating infrastructure as Chief Administrative Officer when the Company prepared for its business launch between 2013 and 2015. As the Company’s opened for business in 2015, he assumed the role of Executive Officer and Chief Marketing Officer in charge of the frontline functions. And in 2017, his coverage was expanded to the current role of Chief Operating Officer and to manage the Wealth Management Banking business operations including the development of digital service platforms.
    Mr. Matsushima came to the Company with 38 years of international financial services experiences in Private Banking, Securities Custody and Trade Finance. He was a Managing Director at HSBC Private Bank Hong Kong and Tokyo as well as Citigroup New York and Tokyo, managing teams of private bankers. He received his MBA from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and his Bachelor of Arts in English Language from Sophia University.

    Tetsuro Shimizu

    Mr. Shimizu has over 25 years of experience in the banking and financial industries. He is a Managing Executive Officer; Head of Individual Business Unit; Head of Individual Business; and Senior Officer; Group Business Strategy of Shinsei Bank, Limited. In addition, he holds various roles across and outside the Shinsei Bank group including Directors of Aplus Financial Co., Ltd., Aplus Co., Ltd., Aplus Personal loan Co., Ltd., Shinsei Financial Co., Ltd., Money Design Co., Ltd. He is also appointed a Director of OJBC Co., Ltd. Before joining Shinsei Bank in 2012, he was a Senior Executive Officer of Rakuten Edy, Inc. (former bitWallet, Inc.), which introduced “Edy”, the first contactless type electric money introduced nationwide in Japan. Mr. Shimizu received his Bachelor of Laws at Gakushuin University in 1990.

    Kiyoshi Miura

    Mr. Miura joined as a Non-Executive Director of NWB in 2019 as the second largest shareholder representing Tribay Capital. He has worked in various industries, but always at the cross section of finance and operational excellence. Prior to joining Tribay Capital, he had a career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, McKinsey & Company, Bain Capital, and Saferay Japan. At McKinsey, he served Japanese Mega Banks, Global Investment Banks, and Top PE funds. At Bain Capital, he led deals such as Skylark and Oedo Onsen mainly on the value creation side. At Saferay Japan, he led the purchase, development, and financing of solar projects in excess of 150MW as its Japanese representative. TRIBAY CAPITAL focuses its investment in the energy and financial sectors. Mr. Miura received his Bachelor of Arts degree at University of Tokyo in 2002.

    Masayoshi Tomita

    Mr. Tomita brings to the Company more than 30 years of banking service experience, specializing in retail banking business. He is appointed a Director of OJBC Co. Ltd. and was an Executive Officer of Shinsei Bank in 2015. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Law from Kyoto University in 1988.

    Takahiro Kominato

    Mr. Kominato has more than 32 years of experience in banking business, mainly loan sales and products, operations, and technology area. He worked as a project controller of the Hong Kong project in Shinsei Bank since 2013. He received his Bachelor of Political Science from Waseda University in 1987.

    Andrew Hoshino

    Mr. Hoshino has more than 25 years of financial service experience, including transition and integration for GE money Japan with Shinsei. Prior to joining Shinsei, he worked for GE Capital and Credit Saison, one of the major credit card issuers based in Tokyo. He received his Bachelor degree in Political Science (International Relations) from the University of Delaware in 1990.

    Toshiki Kanamori

    He is responsible for overviewing and contributing to the development of business strategy, establishing obtainable goals and objectives, and monitoring affairs of the bank. Mr. Kanamori served in various positions of the Japanese Government including Ministry of Finance, and Asian Development Bank for many years. He has also worked for the private research institution, Daiwa Institute of Research from 2010 to 2014. He received his Bachelor degree in Economics from Hitotsubashi University. He has also obtained a Putonghua diploma from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

    David Sung

    Mr. Sung has more than 37 years in the audit and accounting profession serving clients in the investment management industry. Prior to joining Nippon Wealth Limited, He was an audit partner with Ernst & Young San Francisco and Hong Kong. He had served as their Western US region Asset Management Audit Market Leader, Asia Pacific Asset Management Practice Co-Leader and Partner in charge of the Western US region Alternative Asset Management Practice. He currently also serves as an Independent Director of the Hartford Group of Funds and 7 private investment funds, and 2 closed end funds sponsored by Ironwood Capital Management. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of San Francisco in 1979 and became a Certified Public Accountant in California in 1982 and New York in 2010.
